My Scott’s Classic is going on 3 years strong.
depends on what type of grass… your right for fescue and rye, but bermuda, zoysia and buffalo grasses will be more dense (blocking out weeds) if regularly cut at a lower height (1-2″)
the shorter the grass is the shorter the roots are and that gives weeds room to grow
it is bad for your lawn to cut it too short. it encourages weeds. it is best to cut your lawn using the highest setting.
